'The Triumph of Agriculture: Field Guide' available at Pushkin House Bookshop

We’re really happy to have our special edition booklet now stocked in the wonderful Pushkin House Bookshop in London.
Alongside our radio dramatisation of Nikolai Zabolotsky’s The Triumph of Agriculture (1933) last year we published this booklet featuring original responses from academics and contemporary artists.
With contributions from Darra Goldstein, Irene Masing-Delic, Sarah Pratt and Eugene Ostashevsky, these essays show how Nikolai Zabolotsky’s cosmic vision of human and animal liberation continues to provoke and inspire in the 21st century. Purchase the booklet here.
Uncertain Ground Guest Speaker: Susannah Walker

We’re delighted to have Susannah Walker as our guest speaker for ‘Uncertain Ground’ (Sept 28th).
Susannah combines freelance writing and lecturing work with working for the charity she co-founded, Make Space for Girls. She is the author of several books including The Hard Way, and The Life of Stuff
The event will take place September 28th between 6-8pm at the new Pavilion in Asker Meadow. Free Entry

In partnership with Bridport24 - Town of culture, Chasing Cow and Common Practice are holding an evening of outdoor film and talks about THE COMMONS and SHIFTING LANDSCAPES. The event will take place between 6-8pm at the new Pavilion in Asker Meadow, with a bar by Selected. Grapes and music from Aidan Simpson.

One of our members, Grace Crabtree, opened the year with an exhibition at Bridport Arts Centre - Elemental Drift - showcasing her beguiling engagement with land and sea through the ancient mediums of egg tempera and buon fresco.

Chasing Cow presents a new radio dramatisation of ‘The Triumph of Agriculture’ (1929-30): the cosmic fever dream of Soviet poet Nikolai Zabolotsky. Join us at The Lyric Theatre, Bridport, for a special preview event on November 24.
The evening will also featuring new Chasing Cow shorts, an introduction to the poem, and a complimentary booklet!

Our new short film ‘The Wind Blows’ will be getting its second screening alongside Jean Vigo’s classic film L’Atalante as part of Bridport’s From Page to Screen Festival on Sunday May 1st at 11am.
Thursday March 3: An Evening of Modernism!
Join us for an evening of modernism on Thursday March 3 as we premiere our new short film ‘The Wind Blows’ based on the story by Katherine Mansfield.
Also featured will be a talk by author and academic Beci Carver and a new short sketch by the Chasing Cow team!

Chasing Cow is a collective of young, creative individuals based in West Dorset. The aim of the group is to produce a series of projects – from narrative short films and radio dramas to video essays – independent of the film and television industry and market forces. This gives the group’s members creative control as well as the space and freedom to experiment and learn new skills and disciplines.
